BBC on Islay

Rumors says that the BBC nature program Springwatch will be coming to Islay to shoot an episode.

A BBC film crew of around 30 will be coming to Islay at the end of May to film the brilliant nature program Springwatch.

Apparently Simon King, one of the presenters of the program, has been on Islay mixing business and pleasure. He came on a tour of the distillery and is looking forward very much to discovering the seascape, landscape and nature of the Island.
A program like this will attract lots of visitors and the filming will also coincide with the Islay Festival of Malt and Music 2007
