St George’s Distillery, has been established as the first and only registered whisky distilling company in England. And now they are looking to hire the following personnel.

DISTILLERY OPERATOR

This is a great opportunity to become part of a very exciting and historical new venture, producing the worlds first and finest English whisky. Becoming part of a small team developing our new Distillery into a first class attraction and achieving a world wide market for this unique product.

THE ROLE

Operation of England’s only Whisky Distillery (training (if needed) with Iain Henderson - master distiller)
Sourcing and ordering all materials
Undertaking all compliance paperwork including excise, health and safety and general record keeping.
Distillery Safety
To promote all the distillery facilities
Liasing with the public
Taking distillery tours
Operation of fork lift and boiler

THE PERSON

Previous experience in the distilling or brewing industry
A knowledge and love of whisky
Forward thinking with excellent organisational abilities
The personality to interact easily and effectively at all levels
Good physical health, and fitness are important
Clean driving licence and no criminal record
Salary by negotiation. The successful applicant will be required to live on site and there is a very nice new 3 bedroom house available.

VISITOR CENTRE MANAGER

A fantastic opportunity to be involved from the beginning in a very exciting new venture, promoting and marketing England’s only operating Whisky Distillery and Visitor Centre.

THE ROLE

Operation of the Visitor Centre, gift shop and coffee bar
Tour organiser (with a team of part-time tour guides)
Facility Management
Staff Management/liaison
Shop displays & stock control
General record keeping
Involvement in marketing and advertising campaigns

THE PERSON

Previous experience in tourism led business
Completely proficient in Microsoft Office and EPOS
Self motivated
The personality to interact easily and effectively at all levels, with a cheerful disposition
Excellent administrative and organisational skills
Clean driving licence
Generally hands on and flexible
Interest in marketing
Salary by negotiation.
