Cruise the Single Malt Land

If you’re into whisky, why not tag along for a boat ride.
On the 26th of May Whiskyschool.com will arrange it’s first cruise around the islands of Islay. You guide will be Gordon Wright, one of the co-founders of the Islay distillery Bruichladdich and owner of family distillery Springbank.
For the cruises Gordon and James (who runs Whiskyschool.com with Gordon) have located a newly refurbished 6 cabin boat that fits the bill. The boat is recently refurbished, solid and comfortable, with a full compliment of crew to look after you.
The cruise is an all-inclusive for the cost of UK £ 895 per person sharing a twin or double cabin.
The planned schedule looks like this:
Accommodation in twin or double berth with ensuite facilities for 3 nights, All Food & Beverages (Afternoon Tea x 3, Cooked or continental breakfast x 3, 2-course lunch x 3, 3-course dinner x 3) and transfers from Glasgow to Whisky School Vessel and return transfer to Glasgow after 3 night cruise.
Day 1 - Pick up from meeting point in central Glasgow (Saturday or Wednesday shortly after noon) and driven to embarkation point in mini-bus
Day 1 - Afternoon tea on board and meet the crew (the boat carries a maximum of 10 guests with a crew of 5; Whisky Cruise Director, Captain, Cook, Engineer & Deckhand). safety briefing.
Day 1 - Set sail, pre-dinner drinks, 3 course dinner, after-dinner tutored tasting. All food & beverages are included.
Day 2 - Cooked or continental breakfast. Briefing on land and seas options for the day. Shore excursion, distillery visit, option of lunch aboard (included) or lunch ashore (not included).
Day 2 - Afternoon cruise and shore excursion. Afternoon tea on board, pre-dinner drinks, 3 course dinner. All food & beverages are included.
Day 3 - Cooked or continental breakfast. Briefing on land and seas options for the day. Shore excursion, distillery visit, option of lunch aboard (included) or lunch ashore (not included).
Day 3 - Afternoon cruise and shore excursion. Afternoon tea on board, pre-dinner drinks, 3 course dinner, after-dinner tutored tasting. All food & beverages are included.
Day 4 - Cooked or continental breakfast. Final disembarkation and return transfer by mini-bus to central Glasgow arriving shortly after noon.
The first sailing will be Saturday 26th May and the itinerary is open here and being planned as we “speakâ€.
