Ardbeg made the boys and girls over at Fisherman’s Retreat proud when the picked their pub for the launch the 1990 Ardbeg whisky titled ‘Airigh Nam Beist’.
The ‘Beastie’ as it is known in the corridors of Ardbeg, was launched at a special lunch held at The Fisherman’s on Tuesday 27th March 2007.
Clients of Ardbeg were joined by the press for what was a taste tour of the Ardbeg range of single malts, followed by a Whole Roast Sucking Pig lunch, culminating in the launch of the ‘Airigh Nam Beist’.

The Fisherman’s Retreat is nestled in Twine Valley at the edge of the Pennine hills, three miles east of the town of Ramsbottom. The Fisherman’s Whisky Cellar gives room to more than 250 single malt whiskies, all available to purchase by the bottle. If you are not sure which one you like, all of the selection are available to taste at the bar in the restaurant.
