Heehaw Publishing, an Edinburgh based company, passionate about Scotland and its history produced Scotch Whisky - The Myth and Magic.

The movie was made some years back, but since it’s about Whisky and we haven’t written anything about it here is the short version.

The film explores the origins of whisky distillation in Scotland, discovers what goes into making Scotch and, most importantly, speaks to the people who actually make it, revealing a process that some will tell you is a “wild, weird alchemy”.

Filmed against the breathtaking scenery of Scotland to a fusion of traditional and contemporary music, this documentary features a host of interviews from the barley field to the boardroom, including still-men, historians, distillery managers and even one of the SS Politician “whisky liberators” of “Whisky Galore” fame.

According to Heehaw, Scotch Whisky - The Myth and Magic is the most comprehensive documentary made about the most popular spirit in the world.
