A mix of peat and juniper makes up the basis for the last bottling of the Preludium series from Mackmyra Svensk Whisky.
As we reported earlier this year people were queuing up for Preludium 05. Actually Swedish Systembolaget sold 11096 bottles in 8 hours. Now Systembolaget has 12000 bottles waiting to be launched the 1st of December.
The Preludium 06 is the sixth, smokiest and last edition of Mackmyra Preludium. Some time next year we can expect the second generation of Whisky from Mackmyra. What that one will be called is still kept secret.

The name of Mackmyra’s second generation Whisky might not be a secret. Perhaps Jim Murray already knows it.Check out what he says about a certain Mackmyra Privus 01 Topp Tunnor,Privus 02 Nasa For Sprit and Privus 03 Rokning Tillaten,in his Whiskey Bible 2008.
Ah, nice. Thank’s for the tip!
I’ll give the guys at Mackmyra a call to see what I can dig up.
