A cold winternight, an open fire and in good company. That’s how Mackmyra themselves describes how you should enjoy their latest release – The Mackmyra Special: 01 – Eminent Sherry.
The new release lives up to its name. It’s a spicy yet sweet potion with a taste of raisins, dried fruit, vanilla, candy and toffee that has been aged on sherry casks. The whole thing has a nice smokey touch with a scent of oak to it. Being bottled at a strength of 51.6% I’m sure this beauty will live up to it’s name.
In Sweden Systembolaget has bought 8000 bottles and you better stand in line when they open the doors on the 1st of december, cause this beauty will be sold out.

I’m glad to tell you Swedes out there that Compass Box Hedonism is now available in… you guessed it – Sweden
I wrote a couple of weeks ago about Compass Box Hedonism. Compass Box is one of my personal favorites. I’ve got 7 different bottlings at home at the moment. None of them has failed to please me. If I would have to pick one it would probably be the Peat Monster.
So far I’ve ordered them all from Compass Box own website. But know I’m really happy to learn that Clydesdale, probably Sweden’s best whisky retailer, has made this magic potion available at Swedish Systembolaget.
Either you order the Hedonism at Clydesdale’s own website or you basically walk into any Systembolaget and place an order. I do recommend the Clydesdale website though as you’ll probably end up finding more interesting stuff.
